Doesn't it go something like "a day is to a thousand years as a thousand years is to a day"?

Girlwonder, are you not aware that the human body becomes dust as it decomposes?

Exactly how many examples of true evolution to we really have? Have you read "The Beak of the Finch", great book, but aside from the Galapagose Islands we don't have a lot of firm ones......natural history museum.....lots of educated speculation...

You're referring to 2 Peter 3:8. He's talking about the day that the Lord will return. This is in reference to what unbelievers were saying to them back then.
If He meant a thousand years, He would have said a thousand years. How does evolution show His power? Why would a God that can do anything anytime allow it all to happen over time? He wouldn't, not when He can speak it into existence.

It is possible God created us very slowly through a process that seems to be evolution but the evidence doesnt conclude that.

In some of the earliest layers of fossils on record, we find a human skull just as it is today. Had we slowly developed from a lower lifeform, the earliest human skulls would look drastically different and there would be layers upon layers of inferior models. Everytime our shovel hits the ground we should be finding models with loads of variation called "transitional models"

The atheistic scientific community continues to humiliate themselves assuming an unproven theory in order to accord their atheistic philosophy. A double shame for turning public schools into atheistic training camps.

Man is not a special creation. He is made of the same stuff that monkeys and rats are made of. The bones, muscles and brain tissue and blood are the same material as any mammal. Only a trained biologist can tell the difference between a monkey embryo a rat fetus and a human embryo. Even if God created Man it was an evolutionary process because animals were created first.

That's a good idea, I agree. I agree with both the bible and science, and that millions of years to us can be 7 days to God, but I never thought of God creating life from dust as being evolution... interesting.

No it is not evolution...
Our creator created life...By forming the man out of the dust from the ground...and notice too HE BLEW into his nostrils THE BREATH OF LIFE. and man came to be a living soul. not in evolution. The man Adam could have lived for ever but he died an old age of 930 yrs within a thousand yrs. because the creator said at Genesis 2 verse 16,17 "For in the day you eat from it you will die."
So he died within the day of a thousand yrs.

that verse from 2Peter 3:8 refers to the timelessness of God, He is not bound by time or space, and therefore not applicable to creation. God created Adam on the sixth day, complete and perfect. He did evolve from something else, he was created as a man, and nothing less.

That wouldn't be evolution if man evolved from dust in a thousand years, that would be a miracle.

NO, if that were so, then why do we remember the sabbath every week instead of every 1000 years? besides, the original bible term used was "Yom" which means 1 sunrise 1 sunset, so, it means a real day, if God wanted it to be like that, i think that he would let someone know

No - the Bible plainly says God made man after His own image. There was no evolving going on.
