You have just got to be strong and persevere.....if you give in and take her home, you can forget about ever leaving her at pre school again. My son is doing the same at the moment - he cries he wants to go to granny or stay home with me. I feel guilty leaving him but I know it's for the best. Be strong

I had that problem with my son. At first I stayed with him for a little while, maybe 5 minutes. Then I stayed for less and less time to ease him into it. Eventually I would stay for a minute and he would be OK with me leaving. Finally I could leave right after I dropped him off. It's a gradual process but if you do it right it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks the longest for him to adjust. And yes it is for your benefit because although my son threw a fit while I was there getting ready to leave his teachers would tell me he was fine after I left. Good luck!

Give him a big hug and tell him good-bye then just leave quietly without making a big deal out of it. Often the more everyone reacts the more likely kids are to throw a fit.

A three year old throws a fit so you wont leave. It is their way of trying to manipulate you into letting them leave with you or getting you to stay. You can just leave, they will stop. Or, if you feel bad doing this.. wait until they are busy playing with friends and then they wont notice you leaving if they are occupied.

They will more than likely stop when you leave. The best thing to do when you drop them off is to not make a big deal about saying goodbye, make it short and sweet and just leave. Most kids only act up if they see mommy does not want to let them go. Once you leave he will me fine. My son cries almost every morning when I drop him off but when it is time to go he does not want to leave.

Offer a reward if he or she does a good job or if he or she listens to what you say. Find out somthing that he or she really likes and give that to him or her if he or she does not throw a fit.

My Mom did this to me when I was little. It worked like a charm..

Put a teddy bear in his backpack with him. Sit him down at home and let him know you bought that for him. Tell him whenever he thinks about you or wants to go home to you tell him to open his backpack and look at it. Tell him when he sees he knows you are thinking about him..

I never threw a fit again!!!

You tell them you love them, have fun and that you will pick them up later - then you leave.

The childcare teachers know what to do from there.

Help them by finding out what he likes (dinosaurs, blocks, etc) so that he can be playing with something else when you go...
