yes thats interfering with the custody of a child till 18 you can be charged with several crimes the least of which is unruly child thats about 72 hours but the parents can make the judge hold the child till 18 for any crime by refusing the custody then your the states and also if the problems at home are bad enough like no food or inadequit shelter like no roof or no running water or heat or its unsanitary to the point of illness or theres vermin in the house like roaches and mice and rats its unsafe and thats a crime against the child you can call the health dept and the child welfare and safety so they come out and declare you a ward of the state or go to a lagal aid lawyer or a minister they can get you free but thats a job and a place to stay you will be required to work and support yourself to get liberated from the parents

I think that you should just wait until you are 18 then you can get the heck out and not go back. I was the same way when I was 17 as soon as my birthday came I got the heck out of the house I got an apartment with my boyfriend and everything has been good ever since. I'm sure you don't have that long until your 18 just wait a little while incase it is a crime. ;)

Most states (not sure about cali) look at how close you are to 18. In Florida you can live on your own if you are within 6 months of turning 18 but I would recommend that you talk whatever problems you have out and try to come to a conclusion with your parents. Running away does not leave problem they follow you. Just think about it before you do.

not a crime, but you still can't do it. If the police finds you, you'll go back home or maybe be sent to a foster home or some kind of center.
You're almost 18, wait until than. You'll be able to live home after that without a problem

Tell me,Is it really going to help your problem? I think you make it more complicated. Is it dangerous for you to stay home? If not , stay until you can say good bey. One more year and you going be free. I also leave in California and every day I see young people begging for some money. I'm not telling you that you going do the same, but where you gona get money for rent, food?

Yes.
If your home life is that bad, contact social services, or a shelter that deals with minors. Someone will be able to help you with whatever problem you are having at home. Don't just run away. That one impulsive act can put you on the street with no where to go, or cost you your life.

wait when you're 18.... what's a year compared to what you went thru, right? just be patient.
no, it's not a crime. however, it's delinquency if ever you should be charged with and caught by the law in an unlawful act...

It's not a crime, but you are still a juvenile, so you will be brought back home, or to the nearest juvenile center, when caught.

i dunno,, just drive your parents crazy till they agree to emancipate you if that is what you want.
if it were me, i'd stay home as long as i could.. stay where things are free, trust me. i am 23 and have been on my own since i was 19. i am pretty good now, but at one time it was hard, and it took alot of work to be able to say that i had enough money and such and to say i was truly independent. so think about that before you leave the safety nest.
