Before you go and buy anything different than what you use now, read this.

A person loses up to 200 hairs per day. If you hair is long, that can look like a small rodent in the shower by the time you're done washing!

Before washing, take a nice soft bristled brush and brush your scalp. Don't hurt yourself, but brush as vigorously as you can to bring up as many flakes as you can. Then shampoo them out - twice.

Most people need more circulation on their scalp, which is achieved by brushing. Most dandruff shampoos just stick the flakes to your scalp, and cause more problems.

If you only wash every other day, then you could have up to 400 hairs in your shower - this is normal. And even more if you have recently had a baby or stopped breastfeeding.

It could be due to hormonal changes. After I had my baby, my hair started to fall out. I still had hair. It's normal. I also suffer from dandruff. Try Regeneration Hair Solutions from Beauticontrol. For dandruff I gently scrub my scalp with a massage head brush. Then use a dandruff shampoo to rinse of the dandruff. This has really helped me a lot. I wish I had known about it when I was a teenager.

You are suppose to lose approx. 100 strands a day. For Dandruff you should try Paul Mitchell Tea Tree or Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey Shampoo and Cond. If it is more it could be something you may need to go to the Doc. for..

selsum blue is a good dandruff shampoo, dont put your hair in rubber band (ponytail) use a soft brush.

Volumizing shampoo causes your scalp to dry and flake, so that could be a problem.
