I need a hairstylist or someone who dyes their hair at home a lot to help me.

I know to just follow the directions on the box but I'd like some extra tips.

My friends sister turned into a b*tch and won't do it for me anymore. She had some good tools and now she's "charging."

Sooo any tips? THanks tons!<33

Just do what it says on the box and you will be fine. It is not hard at all.

If your dying from a mid to darker brown going to blonde....you need two steps....first you need to get a product called Ultra Blue....I forget which company puts it out, but it's at CVS, Kmart, Walgreens...etc...all in the hair aisle....

This bleaches your hair to the point where you can basically add color onto a blank pallet....

Then process your hair with the color blonde you want...

If you don't strip the existing color from your hair then add the blonde.....it will be some shade of red....strawberry to rusty looking....if you are naturally brown haired.....really dark to black hair, I have no idea what happens.

Anyway, other less dramatic color changes all I can offer is if your hair is longer than shoulder length, you will need two boxes....

If you are doing a root touch up, part your hair into 4 sections. Get the product somewhat dense into the root of each section then loosen the hair so you can spread the dye around to cover all the roots...

P.S. I don't have a sensitive scalp at all...so if you do....be cautious....~;O)

you need to buy a brush and bowl thing for dying hair. theyre really cheap you should find them by the hair dye in the supermarket. Just get a comb or use the thinn end on the back of the hair dye brush and split your hair first you do your roots. then when youve done the whole of your hairs roots get the rest and massage it into the rest of your hair. On the box it should tell you it. I do my own and its asif id got it done in the hairdresses.

i'd place a towel underneath your hair...start with the top most portions of your head if you have a lot of hair in case the dye runs thin after massaging it in as best as you can....i like to lather the dye and pile all my hair up on top of my head so i can see all the underneath spots too...do it in the bathtub or bathroom so that clean up is easy - beware because when you try to rub the dye in your hair it can splatter....i'd try to avoid getting the dye on the skin of you face...yes it washes out, but it CAN stain for a couple of days, and if youre using a dark dye it might look odd....leave the dye is for the maximum time suggested as to get the best final product...thats all i can think of

follow the directions and then 'shampoo' it in to make sure you have complete coverage, split the hair into sections and do one at a time making sure it is all saturated otherwise you will have spots where the color didnt take...the bottle works fine but is messier...if you use a bowl annd a brush you will usually need more color because more will be wasted
