Well, seeing where your BMI (body mass index) falls on the chart is the obvious answer. I think 30+ is obese. Or you could get a bathroom scale that also tells you your percentage of body fat, because it is possible to be overweight without being over -fat- and thus obese.

You would know this just by looking at a normal weight chart at your doctors office. Or even online. If you are worried about weight issues, do not go on a fad diet. Get more exercise and drink plenty of water and make sure you take care of YOU , I would say the food pyramid diet is the best thing to follow, it gives you the right vitimans and minerals that your body needs with out the stress of having to take vitimans. Tc and blessings!

There is a rating called Body Mass Index (BMI) which will tell you if you are obese. go to health sites like webmd.com or ediet.com. These sites have ways of helping you find out what your BMI is... and if you are obese or not.

You need to consult a doctor to know for sure and then discuss what to do since it is a serious health risk if you are. They usually judge weight by the Body Mass Index scale. It is a simple calculation between how tall and how much you weigh, unfortunately I don't know what the formula is in my head anymore, check www.webmd.com. That site is reliable and i know you can find the simple calculation there. Good luck.

Since you are asking this question, I have narrowed it down to two possibilities:

1) You are already obese and are hoping to cull a single answer to hang your hat on to continue your self-deception that you are not *that* fat.

2) you have a body dysmorphic disorder where you have convinced yourself you are fat when no one else would agree.

Either way, there is some degree of self-deception involved.

I sure hope I am wrong about this.
