I am currently taking a course on Microsoft Access 2003. However, the (used) book I purchased at the campus bookstore does not have the software with it. I have searched the Microsoft Office website, but all of the links saying "get the trial version" keep taking me in a circle. I'm going to speak with the professor about it tomorrow, just thought I would try my luck tonight by asking on here.

There is a new version of Access out in beta version. Maybe that is why you can't get the 2003 version. You probably have to download all of the beta version of Office 2007 to get it. From the little I've looked at it, it doesn't seem much different from Office 2003, but may be confusing if the prof is teaching 2003.

I don't think that the Office test drive is a download. It is a online test drive. More of a demo.

I have looked around before for MS Office and the products in the suite. But no luck. I gave up and bought a copy.

However I have tested Openoffice.org and it is a very close clone. I have send a few people to get a copy and are able to open excel and word docs. It does seem to have a few nit picky things that don't match up but you might beable to use it for your class.
