What do you think happens or where do you think you are in between lives? ie. from the time your soul leaves the dead body, and before it gets to re-born; how long do you think that period is? Do you think you choose the kind of life you are going through now?

Thanks for any serious input.

At the time the soul leaves the material body, the mind "replays" all the activities performed in life and along with the subtle desires, these determine the destination of the soul or self.

If the living entity has used their individual free will to cultivate Spiritual realisation, purifying the subtle mind, the spirit soul will be greeted by agents of the supreme and transmigrate back to the spiritual platform.

If however the activities have been more worldy, there are superintendants operating within the universe, who deal not with the purified soul or self, but with those souls who have performed various activities, good and bad, with further desires to perform continual worldly or material activities.

These souls are rewarded and rectified on the subtle or astral platform according to the nature and severity of their activities, then granted another material body, perfectly suited to match the subtle mentality that they have created and desired.

The time factor is existent only in the material realm and although the subtle or astral platform is also material, the time period is dependant upon higher decree and arrangement, also it is relative to the experience, if there is a long period of time spent in enjoyment for pious activity, then the time factor is relativily fast in comparescent to a period of rectification, which may not be as pleasent, consequentily the relative time period may appear to pass slowly, an arrangement is then made by the material energy, under the direction of the Supreme controller to re-embody the soul, the body you receive is most certainly chosen by the individual's choice of activities, which has been developed during the course of a lifetime.

Therefore an understanding of proper and improper behavoir is vital for the spirit soul to attain the supreme destination.

I, personally, think that a person spends time in between lives where he/she expects to. If you expect, deep within your heart, to be in Valhalla, for example, you might spend some time there. If you know that you're a rotten person, you might expect to spend some time in a prison setting or correctional type place. This may just be one part of the process, or the background to the processes that happen. There may be a type of Karmic balance that adds into the 'equation'. The time in between lives is spent reviewing your last life, going over how things might have been if different decisions/choices/attitudes were chosen at key junctures, seeing what kind of impact your life had on others, and perhaps bonding with your ancestors/gods/family. I hope to spend time with my Goddess, Holde, helping Her mend the roots to the Tree of Life. I think that from the time the body dies to the time someone is reborn isn't always the same amount of time. There is a process that we go through and some people may take more time, or less, to get through certain parts. It could be as soon as a couple of months or as many as hundreds of years. I think we might have a limited choice of what obstacles we must overcome in the next life. There are details that we probably have no control over, but there may be themes we can opt to go through, like infidelity, hopelessness, strong family, chronic health problems.

I have always believed in reincarnation.

I believe that when we die our spirit, depending on your spiritual age, goes to the plane (and no higher) where your spiritual advancement has taken you. There we rest a while and we are then in a position to take up our next life, maybe our choice and away we go.

While resting, we reunite with many family and friends and we also have a choice of going to the lower planes to help those that have strayed and cannot see their way.

I also believe in the astral, where when we sleep we can look up old friends, family, etc.

One lifetime is not enough for spiritual awakening, progression, understanding, in other words - if you never knew what it was like to be blind, deaf, black, jewish, muslim, etc., there will be many lifetimes to learn these lessons and grow from them.

I have not mentioned God, because I feel that until we have reached our full potential we do not have the ability, even spiritually to understand the workings of God.

I believe in reincarnation but I don't have ideas in mind right now regarding your question. I just live my life now and I try to live it the way I want coz I believe that it's best to move when you're pressured. I mean, COME WHAT MAY... and I'll apply what I've learned from previous experiences... I'm not the kind of person who always think what to do when things like this happen...I want to be worry-free and I definitely believe in God's will as much as I kow that we have free will... I think, I'm getting far from your question...(",)

I have to admit, I really couldn't say. I'm heading Home once I die, but when I get there I might have to come back. Maybe it's a lesson I haven't learned (but I've done a lot here already!!!) or maybe I want to go back (That ride was fun! Let's go again!!!) I'm very certain that we stay within the area of the same other souls we've grown accustomed to in our lives. I might have had this life chosen for me to teach me religious tolerance; but I have to admit that overall it's been a good one. I can definitely say I've been loved. Have a good one, my Dear.

i do no longer think of it fairly is random. i think (yet do no longer understand) that it relies upon on your karma and what your final concept is on the factor of death. the thought giving your soul a direction at the same time as Karma determines how some distance you will get. it could, as you're saying, be random. for this reason we can flow our expertise yet without rhyme or reason. this thought i do locate magnificent. via fact which do we proceed in this variety for eternity or till we run out of religious steam and settle as a rock (or another static element). I do agree that the assumption of reincarnation could be terrifying, this could clarify why religions including Hinduism and Buddhism seek for and end to the cycle by using Moksha or Nirvana. i in my opinion am no longer terrified of reincarnation yet I do understand the assumption of escaping the cycle fairly than perpetuating it. _()_

I believe the time span is instant. If all is truly one, which I believe it is. Then there truly is no seperation between life forms. Which means there is no, you die and you get reincarnated but the portion of the one that you represent carries the karma, which is one of itself. Therefore when you die there is no you me seperation, you simply reincarnate into another life form through the one. Like an idea popping in your mind, it's the same mind, but the idea is changed like your bodies change.

Your reason for being on earth this time is to better your self from your last life on earth.. To correct the wrongs and make them right. After our body and soul go to the spirit life we are placed into a limbo place for every year that we stayed on earth. For many it is well over 100 Hundred years. For others its Hell.
And No! we do not chose our lives on earth..its more like a re-run from only one life.
PEACE.

I don't think there will be an interval. There will be no in-between. There will be no blank. When you die then reincarnated, it will be like a continuous process without a break. Just my thought.
