I have been talking to a nice woman from another country (Ukraine) for 8 months now through a dating site that is under the BBB(Better Business Bureau) but everyone including my friends and family tell me that it is dangerous and I shouldn't find such a relationship outside of my own country. Well, I'm not in a relationship, but I do have a very good friendship w/ someone who lives in Tokyo. I live in California. Our friendship has lasted for 2 years now and we e-mail each other weekly. She's someone I can truly trust and call a real friend. Although I haven't met her, our friendship has endured for this long. A romantic relationship is completly different, but I'm asuming that w/ much time and effort, it could really work out. U might want arrange 2 meet her soon or maybe talk 2 her on the phone. Send pics 2 each other. Make sure she's not a predator or anything, haha. The Internet, as u already know, is quite dangerous, so make sure she's someone u can trust. Good blessings! any relationship is a risk, whether it is from the ukraine or down the street.
my only concern is that she may want a way into the states, and marrying an american would provide her the in.

be careful in what u do. have a friend who tried this and even drove to go and get her to come back to live with him.. All he knew was what they told each other over the internet. he had to leave on army deployment and she ruined everything he had even his relationship with friends and family... all imsaying is be careful

my dad married a girl from another country. they have been married here for 2 years... They don't reccmommend it, it was hard dating... but they are happy now about it
