I always wondered that too and once I asked my religion teacher and she told me not to make fun of religion. I questioned her faith and she totally ftreaked out on me...I'm guessing it was what it looks like.

Here's where common sense should prevail. If Adam and Eve were the first humans, and God told them to be fruitful and multiply, then the conclusion is that all other humans are offspring of Adam and Eve. Don't forget, Adam and Eve lived for hundreds of years and Genesis 5:4 says they had other sons and daughters. So Cain and Seth married their sisters. Incest you think? Nope. Marriage between siblings were only forbidden in Moses' time, many hundreds of years later.

Nowhere does Scripture say that Adam and Eve in ordinary words had sons: Cain, Abel and Seth. all of them lived for hundreds of years, as there became no disease. also, there became no reason behind prohibitions hostile to incest (certain, Cain married his sister or per chance yet another relation) because the genetic pool became loose from disorder. God had commanded Adam and Eve to reproduce and fill the earth (Gen. a million:28). men in that element, formerly the flood, lived to large a lengthy time period (see financial ruin 5). Adam, as an get mutually, lived to be 930 years previous formerly he died (Gen. 5:5), and maximum of his descendants formerly the flood lived about 900 years. If there aren't any gaps contained in the genealogies, this suggests Adam would were alive following the delivery of Lamech, father of Noah, 8 generations later! therefore, even even with the undeniable fact that they finally died, human beings lived many years formerly they died. This very much higher the type of persons living on earth because, at every person time, there have been many generations nevertheless living.

If you read between the lines you figure out that she also had girls. However they were considered of so little importance in those days that they weren't worth mentioning. Either that or it was Eve plus Cain, Eve plus Seth, or Eve with both in a three way. Either answer is going to piss someone off who reads this.

that would be Eves daughter of course. IF cain and able were the first born you have to remember adam and eve didn't just lay around after they were born. there were a number of years unaccounted for.remember God's objective was to populate the world he made. therefore we can be safe in assuming Eve had twins, triplets, who knows? Figuring in the number of years that could add up to quite a bunch. after the "slewing" cain went into another land and married. Where could his wife had come from if Eve didn't keep popping them out. And of course a girl over 13 was prob consider ed an old maid. Well, you asked my opinion.

This may be lore also.
Before Eve, there was Lillith - a sharp-tongued, whining, trouble- making harpy, who might justifiably be identified as the first women's libber. According to the book of Jewish civil and religious law know as the Talmud, Lilith was Adams's first wife, but they broke up after arguing over who should have the dominant position during lovemaking. Lillith refused to lie on the bottom, and when Adam stuck to his guns, she sprouted wings and flew off in a rage --to become the queen and mother of a brood of nightmarish beings, including sex demons known as succubi and incubi.
Adam complained about his mate’s contrary behavior to God, who sent three Angels named Senoy, Sansenoy and Seangelof. Who then tracked her down near the Red Sea where she was found to be cohabiting with demons and giving birth to a host of imps and other strange off spring named “lillim or liliot.”
The Angels tried to cut a deal with Lilith persuading her to return to Adam. Lilith according to the ancient chronicles, refused. That’s when God decided to create Eve from Adam’s rib. Thus Eve became Adam’s new mate.
Genesis 5: 3 - 5
3)And Adam lived 130 years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image and called his name Seth.
4)and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years and he begat sons and daughters.
5)and all the day that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.
The typical answer to this from Biblical scholars is that
a) Adam & Eve had additional children who don't happen to be named in the Bible (certainly a possibility, given how seldom women and daughters are mentioned by name)
and
b) Other humans existed elsewhere, as evidenced by Cain's lament that he would be treated as a murderer in exile from the Garden of Eden... where he eventually picked up a wife.
