then the solution is violence
what are you going to do if some one wants you dead and expresses an interest in making it happen

No. It SHOULD NOT be in the answer. There are always better solutions. But sometimes people wait too long and violence is the only answer left. So it is necessary sometimes as a LAST RESORT. Example: World War II. War was the only way to save freedom and stop Hitler. BUT, if action had been taken diplomatically years before, there probably would have been very little violence or at least violence would not be such a prominent feature of the solution.

I don't think that violence is the answer to solving problems. It only adds to the problem and makes it worse.

No never. but obviously too many people in this world feel that the only way to get their point through is through the use of violence. However, when voilence is used, it just makes them look worse.
