Sometime relationships start out great and just kind of fizz out. Usually one person will retreat from the relationship. They maybe to immature or insecure to break it off so they string the other person along.
Bottom line you know the relationship has gone sour all it take is one person to physically walk away. Sorry.

I think personally a relationship isn't over until one of the partners is dating someone. After a huge fight couples still tend to communicate even if they just remain "friends".

Normaly it should be expected for someone to directly say they want to break up, or to say you want to break up.
However, this is sometimes not the case. In which case, take one of the symptems of them breaking up with you, example: not wanting to hang out as much. And directly ask if something is wrong, and why they don't want to hang out as much to know for sure.

When you are making a lot of effort, and you know that it is not being responded to. You feel taken adventaged of, not appreciated and hoping that there was more than there is... it hurts and is painful, but move on so that you can get yourself healthy emotionally and begin again.
