In order for Jews to offer sacrifices, they need a temple. Sacrifices ended in 70 AD when the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. I believe the temple will be rebuilt in the future and that Jews will again engage in the sacrificial system during the final seven years.

Additionally, sacrifices could only be performed by Levites. Since the temple destruction of 70 AD, the geneological tables have been destroyed (which would indicate the ancestry and tribe of the Jew). After the diaspora, there are no longer pure tribes.

I'm not a Jew, but I've been told by Jewish people and read Jewish authors who claim it's because they do not have the Temple. Sacrifices stopped with the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.

They are preparing for that reality as we speak. Blueprints are being drawn up for a new temple, animals are being bred for sacrifice, the temple artifacts are being assembled and surveys are being done to decide on a good location.
The traditional Jewish religous counsel has been reestablished this past year called the Sanhedrine and they are full speed ahead on these plans. It will be a reality soon.

We can only do it on an altar in a specific place on the Temple Mount. We don't know where that spot is. Also, we don't have a definite priest, just some shaky traditions about ancestry.

As he said above there is no temple. One of the conditions for sacrifices was that it be brought in the holy Temple in Jerusalem

As a 1/4 Jew nonpracticing, there's only one answer to this question. Human sacrifice has since become ILLEGAL under man's laws, which the religious doctrine insists that we obey as well.

Great question!!!! Since they don't believe in Jesus as the ultimate "sacrifice" They should still be practicing all the laws in the old testament. I guess the animal right's activists got to them too.
