Actually there are only four, but six, seven, or even eight could qualify. I'll explain:

Strictly Spanish words would only be:

Colorado; Florida; Montana; & Nevada.

However:

1. California (like in the Spanish: Baja California)

2. Colorado (Spanish for: The color red);

3. Florida (Spanish for: in bloom or in blossom);

4. Montana (Montaña: Mountain in Spanish. Really spelled in Spanish with the "ñ," rather than the 'n.')

5. Nevada (Spanish for: A snow fall--Nieve is snow).

6. New Mexico (In Spanish: Nuevo Mexico; 'New' in Spanish is "Nuevo.")

7. Texas is really named after the Tejas Indians, a Native American word rather than a "Spanish" word, although readily recognizable in Spanish.

8. Arizona is just a name, although also readily recognizable in Spanish so they could be the seventh and eighth depending on your point of view.

Puerto Rico is a Spanish name, but it is not a 'State,' as in the "United States," but a 'Territory." It means 'Rich Port,' or 'Lovely Port.'

Puerto Rico is not a state.

Other than that...in addition to what was stated above...so is Montana (the n needs an ~).
