oportunity, the best of the best, rich, etc. etc. And now, the rest of the world including the americas and european countries just think the opposite of it? One of the reasons I suspect is because of so much racism even against their own next door neighbors.

Racism. Again with the racism.

There is no racism here. Mexican is not a race - it's a nationality. Had to correct that first off.

Now, onto the main thing. So what you are saying is - because I want to make sure I am understanding you - that we should be fine with people that are not of this country getting to use our tax dollars and benefits that we HAVE to pay for to use, and should be happy about doing that, even though our government every year sends BILLIONS to our "next door neighbors" in loans and aid that they have yet to repay? Is that what you are saying?

Well, looking at it that way, I don't understand why we are so angry, either. I mean, if they aren't in our country illegally we are supporting them, and if they are here illegally, not only are we supporting them, but at the cost of an American citizen that is here legally that needs the aid and can't get it. No - I don't understand all of the animosity, either.

Schmuck.

Those countries can think what they want. When it comes to follow the leader or stand aside, the U.S. sets the tone and is not the one getting behind Europeans, or anyone else for that matter. Europe is full of great "back-seat drivers" and spectators.

Immigrants seeking a great life are still lining up out the door of club America. Get over it. It will continue to be that way for many decades to come.

Islamic extremism seems alive and well in Europe. Maybe you can shed some light on why that is in a future post.

I think the Americans are very compassionate. There are still so many people who do immense charity thru their churches. However chauvnism will arise when an immigrant is likely to take the citizen's bread. This is not specific to citizens of one country. This is the universal truth.

If the economy does well, its citizens do well, immigrants will generally be welcome .

Racism,Religious fundamentalism etc arise only because of the rich poor divide.

With a little tolerance ,patience and selflessness, this whole world can enjoy the fruits of materialism

Because we grew tired of the rest of the world taking advantage of our charity and it is time to cut it off. If the rest of the world really believed as you claim, then why does the U.S. have the highest immigration rate in the world? Do people like coming to the worst country?

I believe it is a case of them loving us when they thought they needed us and now they feel free to gripe.
Our "neighbors" ignore our borders and disobey our laws. What about these "neighbors" should be be so happy about...?
I just hope that when the Hugo starts to bust down the door of his neighbors, they don't go crying to us. THEN perhaps we will get our fence built.
As for Europe...who ended up having to intervene in Yugoslavia?!? Why the heck doesn't Europe take care of it's own?

Why are you bringing the europeans into this......reaching out for some badly needed help amigo? Respect thy Neighbor ingrate, America still respects the mass majority of the europeans......maybe that should say something to you? You do not help your cause. I would personally respect my southern neighbor if they could help themselves and stand on their own., But they won't. and they can't. Your rambling is only bringing it to the forefront.

You know another country who would have tolerated this many illegals, paying billions and billions each year and sharing schools and lives with them until education and services became this degraded for their own people? Because I don't.

The USA was known for a lot of things, goor or bad, but it was NEVER known to be a compassionate country. Sorry Alberto.

I wonder if it isn't racism FROM our next door neighbors. We are still a compassionate country, but these days you can't be viewed as compassionate if you stand up for your own rights.
