no nail polish at all and you can't have fake nails. You are allowed basic white granny panties- think hanes her way in bag. You are not issued them you buy them at the PX but I suggest you get the type you like before hand. You can have bikini cut but they have to be full coverage, not string bikini and no thongs. You should take several white sports bras that support you well. You will also have the opportunity to buy these at the PX.

You supply your own underwear. They will issue the uniforms. I don't think they will like you wearing red nail polish, but I think you can wear clear. It's been a while since I was in basic, but they were pretty strict!
Diane, I might buy milk and bread at the commissary, but not bras and panties! (tee hee)

You cannot have red nails in basic! Not sure about the undies. But , while in the military you can only paint your nails natural/neutral colors.

You'll be issued anything you need. I'm gonna guess the red nails will be a big "nope", but I can't help but wonder why that even matters.

The military has a 2-fold purpose - to kill people and break things. If you are worried about your nail color and lingerie, you should not be in the armed forces. Get your head in the game!

I think you get to keep your own underwear, or buy it at the commissary. I am sure they don't let you wear thongs.
