"Why Don't Real Jews Believe In Jesus?"
It's not because of some crazy mass conspiracy amongst rabbis for the last 2000 years to specifically deny the messiah (?!).
Rather, the answer is simple: Jesus did not fulfill a single requirement of the messiah, and fulfilled a few criteria which would specifically DISqualify him.
So please explain to me why this is so difficult to understand?
Why do christians insist on asking us how we could possibly *not* believe in him. Or why we want to go to hell? etc.. etc..
And why do christians think they know what jews believe (or their motiviations) better than jews?!
And why, oh why, can't christians just call themselves christians instead of this "j4j" nonsense?! Stop beating around the bush! Stop hiding your true identity! This wolf in sheeps clothing act is despicable! (David! *cough*cough*)

oh, and keep those answers short. I don't bother reading copy/pasted answers longer than 40 lines.

If you think he fulfilled -- not just some, but all -- the prophecies about him then I suggest you check out the link I posted.
Or try (besides actually reading the bible):

You obviously believe what you want to and have made your choice which is ok because we live in a free society where religion is a matter of conscience and nothing else, but I would mention two things for you to ponder and a third to answer for yourself.
1) re-examine the Old testament prophecies concerning the Messiah.
2) Christians are trying to show you what they believe in a spirit of love and concern for your soul, even though you completely disagree with them?
3) Do you really believe, like so many other critics of J4J, that being Jewish is more than merely your nationality and that it also dictates what one can and can't believe?

Well you aren't the 1st Jew to deny Jesus as the Messiah and you wont be the last. But in fact many Jews back in the NT DID accept Jesus as the Messiah and still do today. 2000 years later Christianity has swept the globe and has found approval from nations great and small. Is it surprising that a group of rabbis have maintained Jesus is not the Christ? Of coarse not.
So the million dollar question: Is the Jesus the Son of God?
Its unfortunate that peole dont choose Jesus. BUT Jesus said to give the message and if rejected, shake the dust off your feet and move on to people that want to receive the truth. You're free to choose what you will but do realize you choose wrong, you choose eternally damned wrong. That is not a threat, just the nature of the spiritual world in which we live. And if we are wrong for believing a mere man that did miracles is the Son of God, let us be damned eternally!

I read some of that first article. If one of the requirements of the messiah is that he will be the "King" of Israel, then there will never be a messiah, since Israel is now a democratic country and a King would never exist there. Do you honestly think that in the year 2006, that the Jews would ever believe that anyone is the messiah? Every miracle that the messiah would perform would try to be discredited as a magic trick, just like in Jesus's times, but now a days technology is even more advanced, so anything can be done and look like a miracle. The point is, the Jews are waiting for a messiah that came already. When he came the first time u didn't believe it. And even if yall are right and Jesus wasn't the messiah, u wouldn't believe anyone who came in modern times either.

The fact that Christianity flourished in Asia Minor and Europe--rather than in Israel--ought to be enough proof that Jesus was a fraud. With all the miracles he supposedly performed, Judaism shouldn't even exist. All the Jews would have instantly converted. Instead, Paul had to take the Gospel to the far edges of the Roman Empire to convince an already superstitious group of ignorant people who never even saw Jesus.

Ooh, HENRY!:
"Jesus fulfilled EVERY requirement of the messiah."
Yeah, that's why there is peace in the Middle East, and the lion has lain down with the lamb as prophesied, right?

When you say real Jews, what is it you're asking?
A person that lives in the area known as Judah is a real Jew.
A person that is a descendant from the tribe of Judah is a real Jew.
What are you? Possibly a pretend Jew like the Kenites that Jesus Christ Our Lord spoke about.
At this moment, I don't care if you believe in Jesus or not. You have been given the choice to make up your own mind.
Just before the return of Jesus Christ in this generation all of the tribe of Judah and the Israelites will know and will be seeking the truth from the true Christians.
So do what you will. Believe what you want. I choose life and life more abundantly.><>

They say Christ lived many lives on Earth. That used to bother
me. Until it was explained that all spiritual beings are Christ.
The spirit that lived as Jesus, came at a time when he had to open doorways to the spirit world, that had been closing. Maybe
he wasn't THE Messiah the Jews wait for, because that was not
his purpose yet. Just like Elijah is said to have to return, and Jesus said he already did, as John the Baptist. And he is
supposed to come again as one of the two wtnesses in Revelation.
Despite man and his foolish disagreements. Christ is not
a man or religion. But a spiritual concept/reality. The unifying
of the body of God. of which all our spirits are a tiny spark
of the light that is God. "As the body has many members,
and all those members are one body. So is Christ".
To deny Christ, is to deny all the prophets, and to deny
wisdom and instruction. Therefore denying God who is LIFE.

Shalom! Jews for Jesus are exactly that: Jews for (not against) Jesus. I have dealt with the organization myself, have met some of the musicians (The Liberated Wailing Wall) and can concur with my Jewish friend, David, that you are wrong to categorically classify JFJs as wolves in sheeps' clothing. The Catholic Church is where you'll find your wolves in sheeps' clothing! The Catholic Church is NOT a Christian church!
There are more than just J4J Jews who believe in Y'shua (Jesus). And you know it. I know of your "anti-missionary" campaigns. Why do you not just accept the fact that just because YOU don't believe in Jesus, doesn't mean that other Jews don't? Shlomy & Miriam Abramov in Israel are certainly Jewish, and they believe. Jonathan Bern of Jewish Voice Today is certainly Jewish and he believes. Zola Levitt, Jay Sekulow, Yacov Rambsel - all Jewish, and they believe. Shall I go on? You are invited to visit my 360 page and greet my friend, David. You can even spar with him if you like. He can handle it. And so can I. Have you read Psalm 22? Isaiah 52 & 53? Baruch atah. Shalom!

Jews do not see Jesus as the messiah because according to their prophecies the messiah would be the return of King David basically. A great warrior and leader who would usher them into an era of great glory and peace. Jesus did not fulfill this prophecy.

They believe Jesus was a prophet. Keep in mind that Jews only study the Old Testament, so they are still waiting on a messiah.

Who really knows...?? Maybe out of guilt or something like having the knowledge that your race helped to demand that Jesus be crucified by the Romans ? Did you ever wonder why the roman-catholic church at the vatican is so dedicated ?? Also due to guilt for killing Jesus in the brutal way they did??Then again we "humankind" would be forever dammned if this event never had taken place.Wow....who really knows...right?
