not a groupy fan, i mean the kind that blows air.. lol

I sleep with a fan on me, sometimes it does make me sick.
The reason is the fan collect allot of dirt particles, if the fan is not cleaned, the particle break free and blow everywhere in the room. This is when I think my allergies kick in and the dust starts to bother me.

The only way it can make you sick is if your fan is dirty, you know when dust & other stuff builds up on the edge which can cause some nasty elements to be blown around in the air you breathe.
Other than that No, Sleeping with a fan will not make you sick

It doesn't make you sick at all. It's just one of those myths.
The worst thing you get is a stuffy nose that goes away pretty quickly.
The only way you WILL get sick is if viruses or germs were in the room. Thus the fan just made it easier for them to enter your lungs.

i really don't think it does, anyway i have never gotten sick by sleeping with a fan on. also the hotter the air the more germs breed and spread

AnnaZ, you think sleeping to fan noise is good you try sleeping to the sound of 2 12-71 Detroit diesels, those guys working together pushing a 100 ft boat will lull you to sleep., it's great

lol at the groopy fan .. that would fit the question ya know
but maybe the dust in it. clean it out a bit and dont put it directly near and towards you, thats not good. make it rotate if possible, or place it at a distance.

when i was a kid, i used to say that if the fan was on me i would get a giraffe! lol (what i really heard was draft) ..i dont think its true because my son sleeps with a fan on all the time, but i hate the giraffe!

lol... i have sleep with a fan on all the time and I've never go sick.. Do you take a bath before you go to bed or do you go to bed with damp hair that could be why you are getting sick. or it could be you have it pointed directly on you.

I sleep with a box fan and so do my kids, and we aren't sick. I need the noise to sleep.
