Yep! I wasn't raised with any religious practice, but I became a Catholic during my time as a student.
It happened in phases over several years: first I realized that it was impossible to prove a strict atheist position. Later on at one point I made a conditional prayer, "God, if there is a God, and you're out there, then you're obviously the most important reality there is, so let me know you're there."
I didn't know anything about what it meant to be a Christian, so I started examining Christianity by reading the New Testament. At first I just took it as a set of testimonies from people who had known Jesus; and I figured that even if not every detail was literally true, there was enough to show that He came from God and made it possible for people who were foreign to God, as it were, to become His.
Making an act of faith in Christ really was, as Billy Graham puts it, an "hour of decision": nothing forced me to believe in Christ, but it seemed He was inviting me, as He invited everyone He met in the stories of the Gospels.
After I made that step, crossing over the bridge from non-faith to faith, new questions arose: which Church knows Jesus best and can teach truly about Him?
In the end, it took a few more years before I came to understand that Christ had provided the Catholic Church as the way for people to live in Him: coming into contact with Christ who loves mankind, and worshipping Him through the seven Sacraments; receiving the word of God and believing it in unity with the Church.

Yes , I am a Catholic. I am of the Latin Rite, which is the most common. It is also called Roman rite, but "roman" was a label that protestants gave us, and it stuck.
There are 20+rites in the Catholic Church and
the 5 MAIN rites in the Catholic Church are:
Roman/Latin Rite (aka. the "Western Church")
Antioch
Alexandrian
Byzantine
Armenian

I am Roman Catholic, and I am proud of my religion. And tonight I am also proud of all those people here - Catholics and non-Catholics alike - who've answered the question without the use of disparaging remarks. Way to go, people; we'll reach religious tolerance yet!
