I've lost 24 lbs in 1 month without any exercise or specific diet. All I did was quit drinking my soda and started taking herbal weight loss pills (lipofemme). Is it possible that the combo caused this?

At first I thought it was water weight, but my scale reads my body fat percentage is lower.

I feel fine, but am slightly concerned at the drastic drop in pounds. I was 160, so it's not that I couldn't afford to lose weight...but is this much weight loss in 1 month normal?

That's an average of 5-6 pounds a week. A healthy weight loss is about 2-3 pounds a week. Unless you are under a doctor's supervised weight loss plan, I would stop taking the weight loss pills. You will still loose weight by not drinking soda. It is not healthy to loose weight that rapidly.

Yes you are losing weight too fast but thats a good thing that you are not drinking alot od sodas. Think about it in a month each week you have lost like 6 pounds the average doctor says that you should lose between 1/2 to 1 pounds per week. Thats a big difference I am not disgrading you! CONGRATS you lost the weight just slow down on losing this weight becasue you could gain it back!

Yes, you're losing it too quickly. That's roughly 6 pounds per week. The recommended amount is 1-2 pounds a week. It was probably mostly water weight, so it should come back pretty fast too.

Did you accidentally starve yourself? This is usually the main cause for that massive drop in weight. Larger people also lose weight than smaller people. That could be another factor.

that is really abnormal to lose that much weight in a months no matter what anybody says. a couple of pounds a month is the "healthy" amount to lose. and the pills u have been taking is most likey the culprit. you should not take those types of pills. doesnt matter if its herbal or natural. u may not see any effect now but in the long run it is going to hurt you. Contact your doctor to see if the pills did not hurt you. Diet and Excercise is the way to go. yes this phrase seems a little overused but this is the most healthy and beneficial way to lose weight. i excersice a couple of days a week and have been doing this for 3 years and my weight has remained constant( about 140-142lbs. falling from 156 lbs) for the three year. i think a little diet mixed with excersice will be a healthier way.

If all you really did was stop drinking soda and added the herbal weight loss pills then you should be ok. Soda has 7 tbsps sugar per serving which is way too many empty calories. The problem with rapid weight loss though is the ease with which the weight can come back. I would watch your calorie intake, eat healthily and stop the soda.A healthy weight loss is 2lbs per week or about 10 lbs per month. You should plateau and lose more gradually as time goes on.

no, i do not think it is good to lose so much in one month...though actually i wish i could...i wander if you were drinking regular soda...i drink diet but i drink a lot of it.....what is the name of the pills you were taking???? i would like to know for myself....i think if you continue to lose weight so fast i would consult a doctor though...maybe just quitting the sodas and what ever you are taking just helped you to lose weight...i think some is water weight but i think it could have something to do with the pills too.... as long as you feel fine and do not feel tired or sick then i would not worry about it....be thankful.....

Not that I'm looking to drop 24 lbs in a month, but how does this lipofemme make you feel? I am developing serious sciatica issues that I know are enhanced by weight gain.

Honestly,

I have heard many trainers say that you can loose 20lbs in a month with food/work out combo

But as your were not working out, if SODA was a BIG part of your daily consumption, and you stopped it.
You basically stopped your weight gainer, should your weight lost persist in the nxt 30 days

I would defintely say, SEEK medical attn asap.

it is healthy to lose 1-3lbs of fat a week. However, water weight may account for some of your additional weight loss.

yes because roughly 2 lbs per week in healthy but you lost 6 lbs per week thats too fast and plus if you are 5'2" - 6' and 134 lbs you are in the normal weight range
