Which one gets more results out of me??

You want to push the muscle to fatigue for maximum results. So if you can do 40 then do them all at once. Do not push yourself beyond your physical limits though. It is easy to injure yourself if you are just starting an exercise program. But when you can, keep pushing your totals, when you can easily do 40 go to 45.

yes and 40 pushups i think are better and i think that doing 10 push ups in 4 hours is stupid

40 push up at once will increase your heart rate and give you a nice burn out.
10 push up is more of a strength workout

yes you wont fill the burn, i mean its not like doing ten push-ups every two minutes four timeor even doing that for four hours wile shadow boxing inbetween those reps for two minutes
