here are some quick classics: Rum and Coke (spiced rum like captain morgan is tasty), Gin and Juice (practically any clear liquor with juice works for that matter)

A long Island Iced Tea is a great mixed drink. It's got rum and a LOT of other things and its really strong. The taste resembles something close to iced tea.

Some of my favorites (none taste too alcohol-y and will get you feelin' good in no time)

I think this is called a melon ball:
One shot Suntory Midori Melon Liqueur
One Shot Absolut Tangerine
One Shot Sour Mix
Fill rest of glass with sprite. Stir.

Siberian husky:
One Shot Stoli Blueberri
One Shot Cranberry Juice
fill rest of glass with sprite, or even ginger ale.
(also very tasty with pomegranate juice)

you also can't go wrong with good ol' Cranberry juice n Bombay Sapphire gin

I love Bacardi Razz with sprite. I don't know if it has an official name, but it's just a shot of Bacardi Razz and about 3 shots of sprite (more or less, depending on how strong you want it).

Sex on the Beach is good, too, but I don't know the ingredients. Go google it.

rum, vodka or gin are good bases to start with mixed with any flavored liquers(triple sec, alize, grand marier). The best drink I know of is Called Seafoam Martini it Raspberry Stoli with Hynotiz. You could also check www.webtender.com to find some good recipes. Cheers and good luck.

Mojito
That is my own mix : My very smooth, super sweet, Mr Cuban Mojito!

Made mine with

2 shot Remy Red
1 shot Bacardi CoCo
1 part sweetened lime juice
muddied mint leaves
2 lime wedges bruised
a dash of sugarcane juice
top with lemon-lime soda!

Rim tall glass with sugar, put a mint stalk into lime wedge, garnish glass with that... add a thin stalk of sugarcane as a stirrer!

SERVE!

Gin and tonics with a twist of lime will treat you right as long as you don't mix any other drinks with it. A good rule of thumb is whatever you start drinking... stick to it. When you start mixing is when you run into trouble.
