Well I hope it is your 1st and last. The state laws are different so answering your question is very hard. But most likely because of the great efforts of MADD, (mother against drunk drivers), you should lose your drivers license for a time, do community service, and maybe spend some time in jail.

You might get off with a slap on the wrist which is totally wrong. Why wait for you to drive drunk again, and give you a better chance to kill other children that you might not see, like my best friends child, who was hit by a 1st time DWI'er.

So if you like to drink, use your head and stop driving under the influence period. What ever you get, you deserve it. I hope for the best for you. You did the crime now you have to do the time.

You will have to pay a fine and a suspension of your lisence.This is usually it for the first offense and the court issue is something else.This could be a felony.I have not kept up on the drinking and driving issue in a while.You will have to go through the court system and probably do about 30 days depending on your criminal record.If this is your first offense the court has leniency towards first offenders and can drop it to a misdemeanor.And all they would do is suspend your lisence for a short time and you have to pay a fine.And you will do no jail time(so if this is your first offense don't worry about jail time.but I live in NY and this is how they operate over here).But the point issue on your lisence will be the big issue with your car insurance company.It all depends on your record and the state you live in.

I just checked on that a few days ago with a "Bail Bondsman". The mininum you can come away with is about $1500.00, not counting the cost of what your insurance will top out. Here in Alabama you will lose your license for six months for just the first offense. The breath analysis here is 0.8. That relates according to my lawyer too about less than three beers depending on you weight, and tolerance. Bond is set here at $1000.00. I know of this person that served seven years in prison for about five DUI convictions. Just got a call from a relative that they got him again without license, without insurance, which in Alabama you have to have. She refused to bail him out, and told him that enough is enough. So now he sits in jail waiting for a court date before the judge. Yes he will serve time once again.

It depends on where you live because the laws are different.I would guess license suspended up to 90 days, 30 days in jail suspended and a fine and have to attend so type of alcohol education program.

Well, forget getting a decent job since most employers at firms and corporations run a background check on you. This includes delivery jobs.
-This doesn't cover court costs, attorney fees, suspended driver's license and the headaches it will cause your spouse or family/friends when they have to drive you around town.
Just call a cab or get a designated driver.

depends on where you go for court. expect to get fines, a record, a probation officer to see for awhile, higher insurance rates, maybe jailtime, enforced AA meetings. lots of fun.
