Some people are like that. It really is a shame. Most people are polite though. It is just sometimes you have a day when you seem to run into the ones that are not. Maybe there should be a warning system so the rest of us know when they are let out.

Yes, I believe that people should behave in ways that are socially acceptable.(MANNERS) Unfortunatly very few people teach their children manners. Or use them at all themselves. Pesonally I get into alot of arguments and fights because of it. When people bump into you and dont say sorry. When you are standing in line and the person behind you is so close that you can feel their breath on the back of your neck. Or when people take their little brats to the beach and dont watch them.
Opening doors for a lady and offering your seat to an elderly person just doesnt happen too much anymore. It a sad thing but there is very little that we can do about it.

It does seem that there are more and more rude people in the world. And the temptation is to reply in kind. I confess that sometimes I do. Then I regret my bad behavior. Two wrongs don't make a right. What I try to do is continue to be polite, and most of the time I succeed. I try to live by Christ's Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. That way we set a good example for others. God bless!

I always try to hold doors for people, men and women alike, but a lot of times other people will let the door go on me. Hardly anyone says thank you when I hold the door for them. If I let someone turn in front of me when I'm driving, I'd say 1 in 3 hold their hand up to say thank you. There are countless other examples but I think for some people manners are lacking.

I believe in them and notice that people are begining to look at me oddly when I say "sorry" or "excuse me" or offer to help with opening a door or helping with picking up a kids sock/shoe etc when clearly the mother is struggling. I'm just being nice and polite - just like my parents raised me!

People do not believe in good manner's anymore. People are no longer saying "please" and "thank you" especially these two words and "Excuse me" especially.
I wish they had a class in the school's in all grades to teach manner's and make it mandatory. I think people would be more nicer to other's in this world and there may be less violence.

'Excuse me' is not in most peoples vocabulary nowadays. There is to much me me me in society. Everyone thinks what they are doing is more important then what someone else is doing. I believe in manners, but I am afraid that I am a dying breed though.

Don't know - you got to make them aware. It is the right thing to do. That's the language they understand so, you have to speak it.
Manners is a two way street. However nice you may be and observe the social norms, sometimes you have to be like the other person who is rude to you. I will, and I do too.
