-When a story is begun by her, the first part is said so quickly that I can’t follow the line of reasoning. And then when the story continues, since the first part is missing, the story cannot be fully understood.
-When a story is told, key words are missing to the point of not being able to understand fully what is being said.
-When I make a point, the continuation of that point is not spoken, but a new point is spoken. This new point has nothing to do with the first point, but is spoken with equal enthusiasm.

I don’t know if she recognizes that she has this problem, and I don’t want to hurt her feelings discussing this, but I should discuss it. How should I go about discussing it without hurting her feelings and asking her if she realizes she has a speech problem? She is 44 years old. Thank you.

This is a common problem between men and women. lol. No but seriously, she probably just gets so excited that she can't keep a straight train of thought. My mom does that too. And she uses a lot of pronouns so I have not idea who or what she is talking about.

Seems odd that you were unaware of this situation long before you got married.. Have you created a situation that makes her find it difficult to maintain concentration?

oh, oh. Please take her to a neurologist! You don't say when this started, but if the onset was sudden, she may have neurological problems. When there, ask for a prescription to see a speech-language pathologist (at your local hospital) for a full evaluation, and possible treatment.

She quite possibly has a stuttering problem and is not able to say certain worlds clearly, so she skips them. I do it all the time.
