And also, are you supposed to inhale cigar smoke or just blow it right back out? Aren't cigars smoked for the flavor and not a high?

Your question is similar to the question, " Is it worse for my health to be stabbed through the heart with a sword or to be shot through the heart by a 357 Magnum bullit? Both will kill you deader than a doornail"!

Smoking cigaretes not only increases your risk, dramatically, for mouth and lung cancer, but also for all kind of cancers. It also will ruin your veins and arteries. It also causes Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease and emphyzema.

Some people inhale cigar smoke and some don't. If you inhale it, you will have the same health problems as you would with cigarettes. If you don't inhale you will increase your risk of mouth and tongue cancer.

When I worked as a R.N. in hospitals, I had a patient that had cancer of the tongue. His tongue was so swollen so that it no longer fit in his mouth. He couldn't talk, eat, or drink water. Interacting with this man was the saddest thing I ever had to do and I experienced feeling a lot of sadness seeing patients who had terrible problems that there was no cure for. The look in his eyes was extreme fear and sadness. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I could tell you so many stories of people I took care of that had terrible physical problems caused by smoking. I quit smoking when I was 24 y/o. I started when I was14 y/o and was smoking
2 and 1/2 packs a day when I quit. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but it was worth it.

If you don't smoke, don't start. If you do smoke, quit! It will be one of the best decisions you will make in life.
