How were they better than any of us that they got citizenship as soon as they hopped off some dirty boat?!?You hate immigrants, but if your ancestors didn't show up unwanted here, you'd never been popped out on US soil and chant Nazi slogans! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

I don't want to be a US citizen. But I'd love a resident status, since I pay my taxes here anyway. A lot of people would go back home if they got legal residence. It would make them free to travel and work where they find it best. Why not?

What handouts? I work hard, pay my taxes, pay my bills and get 0 benefits.
It's true some immigrants get benefits, but it's usually the legal ones(they get paid to learn English and $$$ until they find a job).
We taxpayers get nothing, just pay and pay...

When my ancestors came over, there were NO handouts from the government. The immigrants that came over 100 years ago, had to pave their own way. Those immigrants built the business, the schools, the hospitals. They became teachers, doctors, scientists, etc. Now the illegals want to come in and get assistance to build their better life? In my city, schools have 6000 more students this year that DO NOT speak english AND 6000 more homeless students. Where will my tax dollars be spent? Probably to help the 6000 learn to speak english. I'm tired of seeing the food stamps used at the grocery checkout only to see that same hispanic get into a brand new truck.
If they are SO oppressed here, if it is SO bad, working for less money, feeling "forced" to assimilate, GO HOME!
My dad worked 2 jobs to give us what we had, I work 3 jobs to have what little I do! I have no healthcare, can't get any assistance EVER. The illegals are already getting more benefit from the government of the state, the US, than most of us who live here legally will ever get.
I hope God is watching. Watching them milk the system.

I have no problem with immigrants. HOWEVER, I do have a problem with people like you. If you come here, then learn our language and get citizenship. Do not swim across the river and suck up our free world. I have no problem with you becoming a citizen but don't give me this poor us bullshit because America asks that if you live here that you become an American. Yes, my family immigrated here unwanted at the time. However, they come with the intention of becoming Americans and assimilating. What is yours here for? Money to send home and then flea right behind it. If this is the way you feel then maybe you should go home as well. Why come to America and ***** about how much harder things were in Mexico? Why complain about how bad Mexico is? If it were my country I would do my best to stay there and try to fix it. Fix your own county an stop pushing all your illegals on us. Buenos Tardes.

When there was open immigration there were no publicly funded services and people even built and community funded their own schools. You can't have both open immigration and a welfare state, so we don't.
This country's immigration laws have always been to benefit this country. When our ancestors came LEGALLY, it was because this country thought that was to its benefit.
You need to follow the laws to immigrate, if you are doing it like our ancestors did.
Note that our ancestors did not get the SAME chance people get now, because the US was not the economy and didn't have the superstructure then that it has now. Our ancestors built that.

Hazelton PA - where were all those 100,000 protesters helping their friends that they push so hard to break laws now when they were shooting and killing people that they fight for illegals to come in and have more of the same??
Ellis Island - Your tired and poor is being rewritten. It was always understood not to mean illegals. In fact, tens of thousands were turned away and sent back.
In the last hundred years and before, get the history straight - ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL no matter what time period it was, and you damn well know the Indians didn't have a country to have laws!!

You need to look up the difference between legal and illegal. my ancestors came here legally. they did not take advantage of a broken border. ur right god is watching, watching the illegals steal their way into a country that was built on legal immigration.

When my ancestors came their was no government or immigration laws, My ancestors built this country, and the immigrants that came into Ellis Island were legal, and they were checked for disease if they were sick they were sent home. now the illegals are coming with all kinds of decease, aides, TB and their not checked. TB has risen all over the country and it has been traced to illegal aliens, it was gone in our country, and this kind of TB is drug resistant. They don't have aright to infect our country and we are filling up with illegal alien criminals and they are not checked, so how many are we suppost to take in 100 million 200 million of Mexico's poor when will it stop. So you can take your a*s and go home if you don't like it, Yeah G-D is watching the illegals breaking our laws. and this isn't about immigrants. it is about ILLEGAL immigrants. so get your facts straight. I am sick of Mexcio sending their poor over to us to take care of, we have enough of our own, they need to get off their lazy as*ses and build up their own country.

It is a shame because many immigrants just want to be citizens, but our government offers them all kinds of perks just for showing up and it is making a lot of good hard working citizens mad and jealous. Most just aren't ambitious to demand our government do something. They just group them all together and complain about it.

I am thinking maybe you have a problem nazi's it was indian soil first, and there were processes even back when it became american......immigrants are not illeagal,....it is how they get here that makes them illeagal.....
