He has been wormed 3 times so far. Eats separately from others so he does not eat too fast and is not overfed.

Sounds like he is in pain and should be seen by a vet. I had a dog with an esophagus problem(megaesophagus) and every time she ate she threw her food up. It could be something like that. Or like another said, maybe it swallowed something that has caused an obstruction. Either way it should be seen by a vet.

Better get him to the vet - he may have swallowed a foreign object of some kind that he can't pass - dogs do this, especially puppies - and it's causing him terrible pain.

when away from the mother it cries and howls, it misses her and that is what it does so the mother can find it, vomiting could have to do with it not liking what it is fed

It could be PARVO. Take him to the vet if it gets any worse...
