why does the wax on the outside of the candle never burn it just leaves like a shell all on all of my candle I guess I'm just bored what a life huh...lol

The candle is wider than the heat diameter put off by the tiny flame, so the outer shell never gets to the melting point. Guess it makes me just as bored as you to answer that =P
