I prefer a small number of close, deep friends over a bunch of acquaintances.
I think being picky in your friends is a good thing.

I don't think life is too short and I think you can have too many friends. Close friends anyway. There's nothing wrong with acquaintances but... real friends are hard to come by and if you are wanting to be a real friend back to that person you can't spread yourself too thin. life seems to be going by alot faster these days ... so yes it is.. i dont think you can have too many friends but someone once said "if you can count all your real friends on 1 hand than you are a lucky man" its hard to find a true friend who will be there for the good and the bad.

life is not to short unless your life was to be taken from you at 18 years or less,yes you can have to many friends to many of the wrong friends,if they are all good and trust worthy and dont back stab you or use you then more and more of them is never enough,

Life IS to short and you can never have enough friends, although I don't like having alot of friends - it just caused me drama in my life when I did have alot.

I don't have any friends, I wish that was different b/c life is too short...my ex husband abused me and he beat up my girlfriend/s and I was stupid and did'nt leave so I lost all my friends... sometimes I think its best I don't have any friends b/c years later after my divorce and I finally did leave, I got another girlfriend at work and she ended up sleeping with my boyfriend...go figure! If you have alot of good friends, keep them, they don't come easy.

yes and no, for the "is life to short" when your young the years don't fly by..it's when you get older you don't know where the time has gone...it goes so fast...and yes, I believe you can have to many friends...It's best, I believe to have a couple very good friends...ppl you can trust with anything....the more friends you have, the less you have around you who are trustworthy...
