There are a couple of ways that I know of...1, is the ever popular oldie but goodie...holding your breath while you drink a glass of water. The 2nd. one is not something that you can really do on yourself but have somebody else do it...and that is to give you a scare. Someone I knew did that to me a few years back & it worked like a charm. This is what they did; I was at work sitting at my desk and I couldn't get rid of my hiccups. A co-worker of mine came up to me and said "did you steal the $ 20 that was sitting on my desk. I said " No...! how can you even think I would do something like that?" "Well, it was right on my desk and you were the closest person to it." she said. Anyways I was a little freaked out & upset. She finally said "are your hiccups gone" and lo and behold...they were! It might not have been the best way to go about it. But it worked. She did apologize afterwards. I hope you get rid of your hiccups. I know how annoying they can be.

Hiccups are caused by too much air in the diaphragm. So water does not cure them. But the act of swallowing does allow air to pass in and out of your body; which relieves the hiccups.

This almost ALWAYS works for me, try it a couple times if it doesn't work the first times.
1. Find the BIGGEST GLASS you can find.
2. Fill it with water
3. Take a breath and GUZZLE THE WHOLE GLASS, no breathes.
4. When the water is gone EXHALE.
Hope this works- Runyan

Drink a glass of water upside down with a tissue on the rim, and dont break the tissue through with water. Go all the way around the rim.
Works every time.

Okay a couple of things to try. First, drink a full glass of water down without taking a breath of air. If that doesn't work try slowly breathing into a paper bag while someone puts their hands over your ears. If that doesn't work have someone hold their hands over your ears and drink a full glass of water without breathing through your nose or your mouth.

This might sound weird but it works...
1- get a normal size glass of water
2- sharpen a regular pencil and place the tip of it in the water
3- Drink the water with out stopping
Works everytime for me :) a bartender told my dad to do it one time and it worked for him even though he didn't believe it...
Another way, i don't do this way but my one friend does is...
1- get a glass of water
2- light a match and throw it into the water
3- drink the water... but not the match
yeah... i never tried it before but it works for him...
