If you live in streets, would you consider eating food in the garbage?

I see this children in television who eats garbage because their poor, would you eat it if ur really poor and nothing to eat?
Consider this:don"t waste food because a lot of kids or people don't have any food to eat.

This happens in the country Philippines and there are no shelter for poor people in my country.( Im in Canada)

it depends on what you mean by food in the garbage, in america so much food is thrown away that is perfectly good, the warehouse down the road from me has a dumpster full of almost expired chips, dip, crackers, etc. There is another place that has a huge pile of dairy products and juice and stuff that is mostly fine, as long as it doesnt sit in the sun all day. Im sure that if yu were ever a college student you've been dumpster diving at dunkin donuts, or maybe kids are too picky these days, my gf's kids wont eat anything that isnt wrapped in plastic and bought at the grocery store. It doesnt matter how much food we waste, since its not gonna get to starving people anyway.

Yes, I would eat garbage if I was hungry. The question I have is what am I supposed to do with wasted food. I cannot call those children into my home and feed them. There is no possible way I could get my extra cooked food to them and if I eat on it for 4 days straight, I will throw the rest out if I cannot eat the rest. Or what do you suggest I do with it? (Yes, I shouldn't have cook so much, but I did.)

But I think food thrown from restaurants, fast foods are not that dirty. I hear of some restaurant management procedures, where they have to throw all those excess foods instead of allowing their workers to take it home with them.

If I live in streets, I'll do a stake out, wait till one of the waiters threw those food, and do a check if its a "surplus" or something spoiled.

America is running on that premise. Look at our fat citizens. How that ever got food into a hungy persons mouth I can not comprehend.

Do you think homeless people go into Ruth Chris and order filet? Of course they eat food from the garbage. Would you rather they starve?

yes I would and have done exactly that.I use to live on the street when I was younger and had no money.So I had to either eat what I found in the garbage or starve.

If I had ABOSULUTELY NOTHINg to eat then i would consider eating out of the garbage.
I mean, if you didn't you;d starve to death!
Of course, first you would think of another way (like stealing out of farms or factories) but if u really didn't well, thats the easiest way to be some what fed.

hell yah, those people are so hungry they'd probaly roast my dog, cat and bird. I'd even eat the dog food, if i lived on the streets.

Yes if I hade to I would eat garbage only if I hade to.
