As far as health and fitness goes, everything is ok in moderation.
Carbohydrates are a great source of fibre and the body will use the carbs first as fuel when required, but if you don't use up the energy they supply, watch out!!!! Any leftover or unused carbs will be stored as fat in the body...
If weight is an issue as well as your health, then once a week should be fine, just try and have it as early in the day as you can, not too close to bedtime. You should also be carfull to watch the sauces that you're having on the pasta, remember that creamy ones are usually worse for you than tomato based sauces.

It's OK to eat pasta once or twice a week, but it should be whole wheat pasta. Whole wheat pasta is better for you and has less processing.
Be careful what goes on the pasta and the quantity you eat.
A 1/2 cup serving a few times a week is acceptable.

I don't think it's bad for you if you're not eating it tonnes at a time. If you are adding things into your diet like lots of fruits and veggies and water and that you should be fine! I love pasta - I probably eat it at least 3 times a week. I eat a lot of whole wheat and vegetable pasta... not sure if it's much healthier, but it puts a variety in it anyway.

Any diet will suggest we avoid simple carbohydrates. These include the "white" group and refined foods like sugar, white flour, and even white rice. These are absorbed quickly by the body and can add on unwanted weight. These are also over processed and devoid of nutritional value. When we eat them, insulin is released to balance out this simple carb. When we eat more simple carbs than our body can use (and our bodies have very little use for them to begin with) our body converts the excess into fat. We would be wise to eliminate or greatly decrease simple carbs.
This includes most pastas.

No, absolutely not! Pasta has great, very versatile - you can combine it with seafood, chicken, shellfish, almost everything.
If you are worried about gaining weight, well that can come with anything - just make sure you excercise eneough.
