What happens if you have sex before your period?

I am assuming you are talking about getting pregnant if you had intercourse 2 days before your period, in which case the asnwer is: Nothing.

It takes the fertilized egg longer than 2 days to get down the Fallopian tube to the uterus, and by the time it would get there, there wouldn't be a place to implant because the period would have started. It would also be *very* unusual for a woman to ovulate that close to her next period (typical is 12-16 days, and less than 10 days is probably infertile for this very reason).

You also can't have a period (by definition) if you are pregnant. Menstruation is the loss of the uterine lining due to *not* conceiving. Some women do have bleeding when pregnant. This is generally much shorter and/or less heavy than a period, but it, in some cases, be indistinguishable from a normal period.

more info is needed. but do you mean before you ever have a period for the first time? (I don't think you are old enough to have sex if this is the case)
If you mean right before your period in a cycle - probably nothing, although pregnancy is always a risk. 'They' say you ovulate 14 days prior to your period, (if you have a 28 day cycle) and that for five days you are most fertile and this drops all the way until your period. but this is risky business, you could ovulate anytime, and there is now speculation that women actually ovulate more than once per cycle...

The medical research fields has largely ignored anything to do with women's reproductive health. Women's Issues are the dark ages of the Medical Profession.

Your period starts your 28 day menstral cycle. Most women are fertile between the 10th and 14th day after the first day of their period. However, "most women" is too big a chance to take if you don't want to be pregnant. (If that is your question).

If you have never had a period, you actually ovulate about 14 days before your first period, so you can get pregnant even if you've never had a period.

If your question has to do with something else, not pregnancy, you better try again!
