I have two words... HELL and NO.

I've tried several different salon products, Lanza, Matrix, and many others. All they did was add buildup to my already weighed down hair. They were supposed to add volume and thicken my hair but they did the complete opposite.

My personal fav is pantene but my good friend who is also a stylist says he wants to kill me for putting that crap in my hair. I have tried salon products and I personally didn't see the difference except for the money I put out for the salon brand. I just let him be mad when he cuts my hair or I tell him he can by my product.

If you use pantene on your hair you are crazy it is horrible for your hair. It is definitely worth spending a little extra on your salon products. Your hair will look so much better. Never use cheap or imitation products on your hair. Professional products will last alot longer because they are concentrated and you will use less

It IS worth it. Salon products are better quality. Not all of them are like 35 bucks either.

Salon products are specially formulated for you hair type. Store boughten gets your hair clean maybe but usually leaves it stripped of moisture or greasy after an hour. Infusium and/Revlon products would be your best bet for store bought products.

i like the comment that says only the provisional say to you salon product cause im a hair stylist, and the phrase you get what you pay for is so true with this one epically if you color your hair your spending all that money on it and you will strip the color right out if your using crap like panteen!

no it isn't. Spend most of your money on good shampoo and conditioner. They all do the same thing, but use what you like best. I pay 4.99 for my shampoo and 5 I believe for conditioner and in my opinion that's a lot, but I love panteene products.
