this mushroom found me near a river growing in some moss. it is viscous and instesd of gills it has a bright yellow porous like a sponge. help o.o!

Found this written at a site -- sounds just like what you wrote:

"Then there are Boletes, also known as Porcinis. These guys are cool looking; they have a pretty bright yellow spongy layer on their underside instead of gills like the mushrooms you get from the store. "

Check the picture below -- is this what you found? In checking another site on Boletes, it says they are slimy, too, which would match with your statement of viscous. Think this may be it!

Since you have mentioned "bright yellow ,porous like a sponge " It could be a close relative of mushroom called morel ( many of them are edible like mushroom)

This particular morel could be Morchella spongiola ( the sponge morel)

Please do not consume /eat it. It is always dangerous to eat mushrooms/morels with out firm identification. In addition, wild things, unknown things are best to be left alone!

Don't eat it. What else do you need to know. It should not be difficult to look up the type.
