You really need to at least call your vet right away and see what they recommend. At her size, there is a chance she'll be ok without surgery...but it's best to talk to the vet. She may need X-Rays to see where it is inside her before they can determine if she will need surgery. If your vet isn't available, call an emergency clinic. By the way, your dog is EXTREMELY overweight...I hope you try to help her lose weight soon...she'll be much happier for the rest of her years.

I would at least contact a vet by phone, explain the situation. Until they can see her keep a close on her. It doesn't take long for a bowel or intestine obstruction to cause serious damage and become life-threatening.
Hopefully, it won't be serious, but I'd be worried enough to contact the vet as soon as possible.

Ok if the popsicle stick gets logged side ways, pup is in for horrid times. Get it to a vet. Splinters alone could ulcerate the intestines.

my sisters black lab did this about 1 yr ago........the vet told her by phone to give the dog a very lubricating type of wet dog food! I think she used "cadillac" brand dog food in a can. It makes the dog have to go to the bathroom quicker, and lubricates the stomach and intestinal tract, etc to ensure the popsicle stick gets out easily. This is assuming it was intact when it was eaten.....if it was in pieces, i would consult your veternarian. good luck to you and your pooch!

My gold retriever ate a few of those, it's really no big deal. Only take her to the vet if she starts acting weird.
Also, avoid giving your dog bones though, although most of the time bones are fine, if it even once shatters in your dog's stomach, it'll cause major problems.

You might want to call your vet and see if they want you to bring her in.Golden's are pretty sensitive dogs and a Popsicle stick is pretty long .Not such a good thing you know.

Ok. If she seems fine right now call the vet and ask about it. Make sure you give her some water and a bit of food to make sure its not stuck in her throut. Take her out to the bck to go to the washroom so it will come out sooner.

Your dog could throw-up the popsicle stick, and it could become trapped in the throat. Keep a close eye on her and contact you veterinarian now.

You need to take her to the vet now. The stick could get lodged somewhere and cause problems, especially if she swallowed it whole.
