My lens won't zoom out. It turns on but all it shows is the welcome screen. When it broke i was playing around with it taking random pictures and the batterys were running low. I just shrugged and waited it to die so i can just put new batteries in. When they died the lens was still out and usualy it just goes back in but it just stayed that way. When i was in Italy on vacation i dropped it and it seemed broken for a little bit but in about 10 minutes it worked fine the only thing wrong with it was that i had to turn the lens while it was out so it could go back in. I'm thinking that that had something to do with it. Somebody tell me how i can get the lens to come back out so it will work again. It's a 4 mega pixel Canon Powershot A520

I suggest you go to the service center or a canon shop to have it fixed.

Why do ALL glass products wreck? heavily, in case you drop a tumbler like as quickly as, this is often that stupid "shsgsldjgh sldjg sg" sound. i've got faith like I might desire to purchase a $10 glass each and each 12 months. because of the fact the $x they make you pay to restoration the digital camera isn't even worth it. Now why would not all of us only invent a effective solid glass? Cameras have optics, Optics are comfortable issues. in case you mistreat them, they're going to wreck, very like each thing interior the worldwide. There are cameras which could take a fulfillment or 2 yet they're going to wreck ultimately. unhappy to declare, you look between the greater irresponsible people. I even have laptops from 1998 that still artwork. I even have an extremely previous digital camera from 1999 or 2000 that still works. I even have had my DSLR digital camera, that are greater comfortable then factor and shoot cameras for 3 years now, and it extremely works completely. do you be conscious of why? because of the fact I preserve my issues. to dodge your digital camera dropping, use a wrist strap. this is there for a reason. it may doubtlessly shop you thousands or perhaps thousands of greenbacks interior the long-term

Ok I know the answer to this. When you droped it It may had damaged part of the buffer other words the memory card. Also it has a small LCD monitor built into the veiwfinder that shows you the same through-the-lens image seen by the image sensor. So I think you might have damaged the small LCD monitor that's inside of your camera and if so go to the place where you got it from and ask them if they can fix the problem. Trust me even though I'm 14.

You will need to send it for repair, or purchase another camera. Digital cameras are very fragile. I broke one, and had to buy a new one. C'est la vie! Sorry.
