Should I spend maybe $75 on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that I will mostly be using in the car and at home (not on the plane)? Or should I stick with a pair of passive nc headphones?

Although I wouldnt reccomend driving with head phones on but your probably talkin about the back seat. Anyways, I own a pair of big RadioShack headphones which isnt noise-cancelling. Why am I tellin you this. Because I spent 30 bucks on these headphones and Id rather have just saved up another 30 or 40 to buy a good pair of noise-cancelling. Reason being, your in the back seat of the car listening to your player and the person driving has there music blarring, and your headphones can only drown out so much, till you start hearing the car speakers on top of your headphones. I kno, I have this problem. Noise-cancelling headphones will keep the outside noise out and your music in your ears. Oh and by the way, you wotn have to crank up your music and deff yourself tryin to drain out outside noise and such. Its well worth it. Something I'll be lookin into when I get money!
