if she asks how things are going, simply say "fine and you?"
if she pushes for info, tell her only what is needed for an amicable relationship
always be nice - there is nothing that drives busy-bodies crazier than NOT finding out anything to gossip or have an opinion on, and if she does, simply say - "that's interesting, but I'm not sure if it is entirely applicable or helpful to our relationship / family situation / or whatever"
The most important thing to remember is that she is part of your family and you need to maintain relationships, but that doesn't mean she needs to be part of every little detail of your lives or manipulate you in any way - don't forget if you allow it, that makes you an enabler. :) ALSO - don't participate in it either as in talking behind her back to other members of your family or your friends either - you'd be surprised at the amount of energy it takes and it's totally not necessary to your life. relax and forget about her, and don't allow others to talk to you about her either - what a waste of time!

Punch her in the mouth when she meddles in yours!
Other than that limit your exposure to her.
There is not much you can do, she likes what she does!

I understand!!!! and really the best advice is to limit the ocnversations---but be polite!!! :)
It can be tricky---but possible....limit what you answer---be vague when necessary or try changing the subject! and if she starts to gossip about others to you just tell her that you will keep them in prayer---and hope that all works out for them!

Avoid her. If she's not in your life, she can't meddle.

tell her you don't like to participate in discussions about other people and let her know that you don't appreciate unsolicited advice. And avoid her as much as possible... (get caller ID) :-)

Limit how often you talk to her, and when you do, don't tell her anything of any importance.
