i would like 2 know sum good brands of products that protect my hair before i straighten it with a flat iron plz!!!

Silk Elements has a great heat protectant spray. One thing I have learned about heat protectants is some are silky and smooth in texture and some become sticky. Try it....I think you will like it. I reccomend it to all my customers and they keep comming back for more.

Use Thermasilk moister infusing or Thermasilk Smooth and Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner. These products protect your hair and gives it a shiny look after heat styling. I have this product and it works like a charm. Its not that expensive you can get it at any drugstore

hi im a hairstylist and a really good product to use before you flat iron is called spray starch by redken,it protects your hair from the heat and its also good to use some kind of suream while your hair is still wet just so your hair is coated with something try redken glass or pureolgy shine max.

Pink Oil Spray. You will find that in the "ethnic" hair care aisle. It doesn't smell that great but use it very lightly and you'd be surprised how nice your hair feels. make sure not to overload though then you get very greasy Jheri-Curl type hair goin on and no one likes that! FYI I am caucasion and this works great on my hair. Make sure to get the one in the pump bottle and it is a clear liquid. DON'T GET THE ONE IN AEROSOL!
