Contact the Travis County, Texas, County Clerk's Office (if it is a misdemeanor DWI) and make sure you have the name and date of birth of the subject you are looking for. If it is a felony charge, contact the District Clerk's Office. This is only good if the charge has been filed with the County/District Attorney's Office. Usually, agencies like Austin PD, Travis County SO, Texas Department of Public Safety will not release any information about arrests - this is not public information.

Have you checked with the County DA? The police and other such agencies only make an arrest it is up to the prosecutor for the jurisdiction to file charges or not. You may ask the person that was doing the drunk driving they should know if they are charged with a crime.
