Keep bananas on a fruit dish in the living room at room temperature. If you want the bananas to ripen faster place the bowl in the sun. Like other tropical fruits and tomatoes and bell peppers, never store bananas in the refrigerator. Below 8 degrees Celsius the fruit will decay from the inside. These fruits will not ripen but will turn black in the refrigerator.
As far as the fruit flies go? It's never-ending!! Hate those pesky things!

They breed and adapt to insecticides fairly immediately so that you would possibly want to land up basically chasing your tail with the point to talk. i comprehend you reported the domicile is sparkling, yet double examine some issues. they prefer something sweet no longer basically fruit. So make positive each little thing is wiped down, no choc. syrup or the different sugary substance out or spilled everywhere. floor mopped trash emptied. garbage disposal sparkling. regardless of each little thing that do this. cover the kitchen drain with plastic wrap so it isn't an decision for them and seize them another position. Take a tremendous glass and positioned some apple cider vinegar in the bottom then make a funnel out of paper to position contained in the glass make positive there's a small hollow on the bottom of the cone(funnel) and then tape around the right so it makes a seal The flies will be really interested in the vinegar and unable to get out as a results of cone. they basically are not that sensible i wager yet this works. sturdy success they're such pains.

You CAN put bananas in the fridge. Put them in there when they are as ripe as you want them to get. Not green ones. Though the peels will turn dark, the 'meat' is as good as ever. You can also freeze them if they get too ripe and use in smoothies or for yummy things like bananas breads, muffins, etc.

Buy them green that way they will last longer. And they will turn yellow in 2-3 days instead of turning brown in 2-3 days. Also you can refrigerate them. They wont go bad any faster if you do that.
