Sweet heart. My name is Daniel. I've been in your state of mind before. The only way to get help is to help youself frist.
Tell them because if they are your parents, trust me they want be mad at all. I thought my parents where going to kill me when some one from the school called and said " HO, my God Daniel's going to kill himself " lol. Yes I thought it was all funny until they called my parents, and then I thought i'm dead there never going to trust me, there going to think i'm a crazy person.
But after I got some help from my parents and doctors.
Me and my family where one step closer to being happy with ourselves. If you would like to talk more about this I would love to help you out. As some one thats been though high school and the stress of living at home, not able to do wat you want it can suck.
well if you'd like to talk you can E-mail me

Sit your parents down and first tell them that you love them and that you need their help. then tell them how you feel, i dont think that there is an easy way to do it, and however you say this will come across as blunt. So just say it and ask them for help. They should take you to the doctor, and the doctor can presribe some medicine/conseling. Ive been there too, my last 2 years have been hell, and i was severely depressed. i told my parents and i went to the doctor and she prescribed some anti depressents.

You need to know that you are not alone. Millions of people go through what you are going through. And please dont say "im not taking that medicine because im not crazy" I dont think that you are crazy, but when people are depressed, they can have a chemical imbalance and all that the medicine does is balance it out.

Best of luck to you and God bless.

Hmm that a tough one. I use to do that cut my palms. But after a while it goes away. I would say you should take older family member or friend. And why do you feel suicidal tendencies?
You could always talk to your counsellor at school if your going to school if not book any appointment with a therapist.....There is something that serious bother you and your screaming for attention.....

well its a good idea to tell your parents first and if they dont believe you or think its not true or something then i guess you should see a doctor about it. But just dont sit around doing nothing about it cuz it really is part of some kind of effect your getting from a situation that you might not know about.

oh my goodness. just sit them down one night (It may take alot of time to get up the courage, but you can do it.) Just tell them, "I need to talk to you without you both getting upset with me. I need help." Then go on with saying you feel suicidal & what you do, & tell them why you cut.

Listen, if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here for you my email is:

Just sit down and tell them. It takes guts and is not the easiest thing in the world, but it will be the first step to feeling better.

I'd just sit them down and tell them. You know they love you and want the best for you. They'd be the first to want to get help for you. Don't delay any longer. You have a right to a wonderful life.

I don't think Yahoo answers can help you with this one. You should get professional help. Maybe if you tell your parents that you need to see a shrink, they'll have an idea that something is wrong and then, you could tell them...

Take it easy girl.... There's no need to take your life away. You'll find your destiny someday!

You tell them quietly, and sincerely. Much like you did here in asking us how to bring it up to them.
They'll freak a little bit, but stay calm while they get over it. Then the 3 of you talk about what you need for help. I really appreciated what my counselor did for me, and still go back to see her every couple of years.
