Why did you guys get the dog in the first place??
What reason could she possibly have to give it away.
It peed on the carpet? It chewed up a shoe? It barks all the time?
All fixable and all should have been considered before getting the dog.

Why is she giving the dog away? Did it bite someone? Is it costing too much? Did you move to a place that doesn't allow pets? Is it because she is the only one taking care of it (feeding, walking, pooper scooping)? I think you need to talk to your mom if you feel that strongly to see if there might be another solution than giving it away.

When I was 14 many years ago, my mom gave my dog away. My sister and I wrote some sappy sad song and played it on the piano. We videotaped it and showed it to my mom. She felt so bad and depressed from our song that she went and got the dog back! It worked!

There is probably a very good reason your mom is giving your dog away. I know it's difficult but your dog will likely have a better home. Remember, this decision probably wasn't easy for your mom to make...don't make it harder for her. Find someone to talk to about how you feel about it.

im sorry to hear that. but id remember that she has a reason and it's for the dog's good. I know it can be tough, and you probably hate to hear it, but it's probably what's right for the dog. BUT, i would talk to your mom and tell her why you want to keep her and why it'd b good.
