There is a code. This may vary depending on the company. It could be like *76 and than type the phone number of where you are directing the phone calls to you. Basically you can forward your phone calls from your land line to your cell phone.

Ask the phone company what the code is. I'm using this as an example
Basically you would dial *76 (123) 456-7890. It is going to ring to your cell phone. You have to answer your cell phone in order to make it go through. Once you answer your cell phone you hang up both lines and it is forwarded.

Now to stop the forwarding. You just type in a different code on your land line say *73 and that is it. You'll hear a click and couple of beeps (or something like that) and dead air. This means it has stopped the call forwarding.

Call forwarding is wonderful. When I leave the house for the day, I forward my calls to my cell phone so I never miss a call. Check with your telephone company as to the procedures.

It is when calls to your regular phone number get forwarded on to a different phone number temporarily. There is a certain number you have to dial in order to do it and another one to undo it. You probably need to call your phone company to get the correct number. It is really easy to do though, and it can be very handy sometimes. My dad used to do it all the time.

Call forwarding is when the phone company reroutes your calls to another number. Your phone company can tell you on the phone how to do it. It's different numbers for different companies.
