Boxing has slipped off and almost every boxing fan can account for that, including myself! MMA is the future! Boxing had it's run for over 60 years but until we can simplify each weight class to one belt/one champion & promoters like Bob Arum & Don King pass away, it'll still be a crooked sport! Notice I said pass away cause neither man will ever retire otherwise!

Boxing has the potential to be the greatest sport in the world, but its not even close.
In many countries, the lowest elements of society participate in boxing. Boxing is controlled by cut-throat agents, crooked promoters and stupid boxers all looking for that multi-million dollar bout.
The problem is that boxing is fighting with itself over who will control the sport and for every million dollar purse there are literally thousands of other fights where participant get their brains scrambled with nothing to show for it, but memories. (If they can remember)
For boxing to ever be a great sport, it needs a worldwide committee like the Olympics to control the sport, attempt to guarantee fairness to the fighter, offer health care services to participants and have one champion in each weight class.
Until this happens, boxing will continue to be a low-class sport.

Yes. In other sports you get soccer stars bullying referees to change their mind, rugby league stars swearing at touch judges but not in boxing. A different breed of people and character.

Working out like a fighter is one of the best wprkouts you can do and will get you in tremendous condition. I used to box and I was in amazing physical condiditon at that time of my life.
