I don't know but after reading this I don't think I'd want to use it.
UPDATED: HeadOn for headache or Migraine? Is it dangerous?
Please note that there has been a change in the information reported here, specifically that Dr. Newman has retracted his statement about potassium dichromate being potentially dangerous. Please see this blog entry for Dr. Newman's August 1 statement.
HeadOn is an over-the counter headache and Migraine product. Their television commercials use the slogan, "HeadOn, apply it directly to the forehead. There are at least six variations of the product:
HeadOn Migraine Relief
HeadOn Tension Headache Relief
HeadOn Headache Relief
HeadOn P.M. Pain Reliever/Sleep Aid
HeadOn Sinus Headache Relief
HeadOn Headache Relief Extra Strength
According to the package information, it's recommended for adults and children 12 years and older. The statements made by the manufacturer include:
Safe and Effective
Safe to use with other medications
Invisible & Non-Greasy
No unwanted side effects
Can be used as often as needed
Homeopathic
Dr. Larry Newman is the director of the Roosevelt Headache Institute in Manhattan. According to Dr. Newman, not only is there no scientific proof of the HeadOn's claims, an ingredient that's the primary active ingredient in most of the formulations, potassium dichromate, which is used in developing photographic film and may actually be dangerous...
Dr. Newman stated,
"It's used to develop photographic prints and if you read about it, it says it should not come in contact with the skin"
A spokesman for the manufacturer of HeadOn, Miralus Healthcare, countered, "These are ingredients that have been used for headaches and migraine pain relief for over two hundred years."
WCTS-TV in New York contacted the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau and were told that Miralus "recently failed to provide them with reliable clinical testing to support it's product claims."
Over-the-counter products such as HeadOn are subject to far less stringent FDA regulations than prescription medications. Dr. Newman also commented, "We don't know what's in them, they don't know what's in them, the FDA doesn't know what's in them."

HeadOn is suppose to work for migraines.
From the article above it has been updated:
Look at this link
http://headaches.about.com/b/a/257223.htm
Now the guy is saying that IT IS safe and nothing wrong with it. Something really is wrong here especially with in a number of days they had these report's. Its almost like they are just trying to get more attention for the product and not telling the truth about the product.
