I knew some one who took those Classes. Whoa what a pain in the **** they were for a few months. Bad tempered, jumpy and very rude. Had to give them a warning that if they did not get back to their normal self they would have to go. I wanted the person i employed not a moron

Assertiveness training is self esteem training in disguise... imho. Yes, it could help you especially since it sounds like you want it to.
