i took a pic with my ceel phone and its all checkered like, can it be fixed on the computer or no?

Instead of going with the overpriced, hard to use photoshop cs2 , you can get Photoshop Elements that is friendly to use and is loaded with features that can make your digital photos look fantastic for $100!

Photoshop is total overkill and overpriced. Picasa (-> http://picasa.google.com ) is an easy to use program which has basic photo enhancement features. If you need more features: The GIMP (-> http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html ) has almost all features Photoshop has, yet it's free.

stephen is right, if you want to spend 700 dollars on it. one other alternative is pirating it on limeware or some other p2p software.
I suggest gimp, its a free opensource software. Though not as good, it can do most of what photo shop can do

Pretty much, you can't do much from a cell phone picture, unless you have the 2mega pixels ones, even with that, there's not much you can do.
Just invest in a point and shoot camera, go to pcworld.com and they have a list cameras you can chose from.
